FORECLOSURE INTERVENTION

Geared for those homeowners in eminent danger of loan default or experiencing financial difficulties. Counselor provides assistance to develop financial and credit rebuilding plans that work to increase the homeowner’s knowledge and helps them make wiser financial decisions.  In addition to providing assistance with the preparation and negotiation of any loss mitigation options the participant selects (loan modification, repayment plan etc.)

FAQ's

You must be a Homeowner residing within the City Limits of Tampa.

Please see the chart below for Household Limits to apply.

We will need Ex-Husband Income documents.

You can apply for the grant if you’re a homeowner living within the
City Limits.

You will have to provide two years of Profit and Loss Statements to
determine household income level.

Typically, it takes about 2 weeks after we submit an invoice to the
city of Tampa. If your bank requires we mail a check it can take about 3
weeks.

Typically, we contact TECO and get a commitment to pay for your
utilities. This stops any collection activities and interruption of service.

The grant can only cover up to five months of delinquent payments.

You can apply for the grant and you must provide documentation of
your unemployment benefits.

You can apply for the grant and you must provide documentation of
your child support court order.
