Aaron Johnson is a disabled veteran who came in for counseling wanting to be as ready as possible in order to buy a home. The client had some barriers to overcome including some credit issues that had his credit scores below the necessary level to apply for the available down payment and closing assistance and to eventually be approved for a home loan.

The client worked hard to eliminate the collection debt and most important, he reduced his credit card balances and use and as a result, his scores improved from below the 600 level when he was first counseled to the present above 700 scores.

The client also got a good grip on his expenses which were reduced and specially the discretionary spending to the point that he was able to save enough to meet the requirements to apply for the City of Tampa (DARE) Program and also for the East Tampa CRA.

The client was also directed to apply for an available at the time Domain Home which will be built by the middle of July. As a result of his hard work, the client in schedule to close in July with a brand new Domain Home and he will be able to also use a total of $60,000.00 for his down payment and closing from DARE and from ET CRA.
